This month, Sharon Holliday will present "S.O.S. Save Our Scraps". Sharon is an expert quilter and a talented speaker. Please plan to attend our meeting and to learn something new to do with the scraps we all accumulate. Read Sharon's blog and see some of her quilts here: sunnysideupquilting.blogspot.com
We are already thinking about next year's raffle quilt. Please bring a red, white or cream fat quarter to the March meeting. Please make sure it is quilt shop quality.
Check out the display "Quilts for Everyone - Pastel to Bright, Traditional to Modern"
The final two clues (month six and month seven) will be available at the August 18th meeting. There will be no charge for the seventh month. We all look forward to seeing your interpretations at the October meeting. The quilts do not have to be quilted; just the pieced top (or a segment of it) is fine.
Calling all quilters to make at least 1 kid’s quilt this year. There will be quilt kits at each meeting so all you have to do is put them together. The batting is included. If you use your own fabrics and need more, there are boxes of color-coded fabric to choose from.
If you went to Rally Day and got a goody bag, you received rolls of 2 ½ “ fabric strips. If you would like to donate them to the guild, then volunteers will make more kid’s quilts from them.
Our Community Service project for August will be school supplies. They are always needed and appreciated. Thanks for all you do..
